The Ronan Chamber of Commerce would like to welcome you to the Mission Valley. With all the natural attractions and year 'round recreation, the Mission Valley is truly a vacationers dream - lake and stream fishing, backpacking in the mountains, skiing, sailing, the list is endless for things to see and do. Sheltered by the Mission Mountain Range of the Rockies, the climate is surprisingly moderate year round. Commerce and industry are headed by a strong agriculture and lumbering base. The Flathead Indian Tribes are also a major employer.

Modern medical facilities include a newly remodeled and expanded, well staffed hospital and community-built extended care facility. Excellent schools available from K-12, with the nearby Salish Kootenai College providing additional courses and training.

Ronan is located just 12 miles south of Flathead Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi. Continue on 50 miles north and you'll be in Kalispell, then Whitefish and then the "Crown of the Continent", the unspoiled Glacier National park with hundreds of miles of hiking trails

Ronan is just 50 miles north of the second largest city in the state, Missoula, home to the University of Montana and all of the amenities of urban living.

The mountains, rivers and lake provide an abundance of summer activitieslike hiking, river rafting, boating, fishing, camping, horseback riding and bike path trails. You will also find breathtaking scenery from the Mission Valley Golf Course in Ronan. Winter gives outdoor enthusiasts plenty of opportunities from big game hunting in the fall, to ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and down-hill skiing at one of four ski-resorts within 90 miles of Ronan.
